Nursery Education Grant
The Nursery Education Grant is the free nursery education for 3 & 4 year old's. The Nursery education grant is funding made available to provide your 3 or 4 year old with a free part time nursery session before they reach the statutory school age.
The Nursery Education Grant aim's to;
Support parents in accessing quality education for their child
Deliver the nursery entitlement flexibly taking into account the needs of children and families
What your child maybe entitled to;
Your child is entitled to a maximum of 15 hours nursery education for 38 weeks of the academic year. Sessions should be held for a minimum of 2.5 hours a day and a maximum of 10 hours a day. The 15 hours must be taken over 3 days. Please ask our nursery managers for our individual terms.
You can choose to take your entitlement with 2 separate childcare providers. This is acceptable as long as it does not exceed 15 hours per week.
Your child is entitled to the grant as below;
Child's Birthday Eligible for the grant
1st April - 31st August 1st September following 3rd Birthday
1st September - 31st Decemeber 1st Jan following 3rd Birthday
1st June to 31st March 1st April following 3rd Birthday
How do I apply for a nursery place?
Please call us and speak to the relavant nursery manager
How does the funding work?
We will need to see your childs birth certificate and will ask you to sign a declaration form. We will then claim the funding on your behalf. If you exceed the 15 hours you will be charged by our nursery according to our normal fees.
